Mr. Gray
Elm G. Gray, 87, of Stroudsburg, Pa., died Sunday July 30, in a Hamilton Township nursing home.

A native of Franklin, he was a son of the late John Javan and Mary M. Stiles Gray. He was employed by E.I. DuPont and Co, in Wilmington, Del, before working for Wyckoff-Sears in Stroudsburg for more than 25 years. During his retirement, he was a volunteer helping shut-ins and nursing home residents. He was an elder of the Presbyterian Church of the Mountain in Delaware Water Gap.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ora Marguerite Rinker Gray; a daughter, Mary Etta Halle; and a brother, Fred Judson Gray.

In addition to his wife of eight years, he is survived by a son, John F. Gray of Sylva; three sisters, Lucy Crawford of Asheville, Virginia Baldwin of Franklin and Margie Davis of Demorest, Ga. ; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 1, at Thomas Funeral home of Stroudsburg. Rev. Karen Nickels officiated.

Funeral services will be held in Franklin on Friday, August 4, at 11 a.m. at Morrison Presbyterian Church. Dr. Wendell Ligon will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.
