Mrs. Francis Ruzek Rites Held June 15, 1984.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ruzek, 71, West Branch, were held June 15 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in West Branch with the Rev. Brian Micolet, assisted by the Rev. Joseph Hines, officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Wingert, Randy Wingert, David Ruzek, Jayson Ruzek, Ronnie Ruzek, Steve Pribyl and Jerry Frenzel. Mrs. Catherine Chase was organist. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Cedar Valley, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, West Branch.

Mrs. Ruzek died June 12, 1984 at University hospitals in Iowa City following a brief illness.

She was born June 14, 1912 south of Stanwood to Claud and Sarah Harper Kimberling. She attended the Tipton schools, graduating in 1931. She later attended the Chillicothe Business college.

She married Francis Ruzek in August, 1938 in Kahoka, Mo. Mrs. Ruzek was a member of St. Bridgett's Catholic church, the Alter and Rosary Society and Wapsinonoc DAR Chapter.

She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Goetz, Tipton and Mrs. Tom (Joan) Pribyl, Marion; 2 sons, Wayne, Denver, Colo., and Robert, Roswell, N. M.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Roland (Shirley) Thompson, Iowa City and Mrs. Katherine Walton, Sunnyside, Calif.; 9 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
