Valparaiso, IN -- Eva A. Gast, age 92, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, IN. She is survived by two nephews: Bill (Kay) Heirbrandt of Indianapolis, IN and Loren (Sharon) Heirbrandt of Mill Creek, IN; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Gast in 1991, her parents and sister, Erma Heirbrandt.
Mrs. Gast retired from the clerical department at Valparaiso University with 35 years of service. She lived most of her life in the LaPorte, Porter County, IN area.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Burial Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2006 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Northern IN Chapter, 108 S. Main Street, Suite 707, South Bend, IN 46601.
