Mrs. Janie H. Strain of Granbury passed away Sunday at her home. She was 48 years old. Born in Hawaii on August 23, 1932, Mrs. Strain was by occupation a nurse and a seamstress. She was also a member of the Granbury Church of Christ.
Survivors to Mrs. Strain include her daughter, Mrs. Tweedie Tankersley of Granbury; four sons, Bud Strain, Willie Strain, Butch Strain and Bit Strain, all of Granbury; two granddaughters, Miss Christi Strain and Miss Rachel Strain, both of Granbury; a grandson, Cary Tankersley of Granbury; four brothers. Robert Shishido and Earl Shishido, both of California, Thomas Shishido and Mamoru Shishido, both of Hawaii; and five sisters, Mrs. James (Judy) Kimura of California, Mrs. Katie Tomita, Mrs. Mary Jennohara, Mrs. Peggy Akizaki and Mrs. Fumie Tolairin, all of Hawaii.
Services for Mrs. Strain were held Wednesday in the chapel of Martin's Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Harris officiating. Interment was in the Granbury Cemetery. Pall bearers for the services were Lon West, Jim West, Lee Warnke, Larry Avery, Terry Kinnard, Joe Perkins and Jerry East.
