Ruth and her husband Sonny met after WWII at Ft. Benning where they both worked. Sonny told a friend when he first saw Ruth that he was going to marry her, and a lifelong romance began. After living in Columbus, GA, most of their life they retired to The Villages. They loved their family and unselfishly gave to their granddaughters as they grew up. Ruth dearly missed Sonny who preceded her in death by a few months. She died in hospice care while suffering from throat cancer.
