Mr. Clifford J. "Buddy" Ard, age 62, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 30, 1949, in Johnsonville, Buddy was the son of the late Clifford Ard and the late Oneita Stone Ard.
Buddy was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. He was retired from Wellman Industries and enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Johnson Ard of the home; children, Wade (Valerie) Ard, Lanny (Rain) Ard, and Ray (Karen) Marshall; grandchildren, Austen Ard, Paul Marshall, Stephen Marshall; sisters, Nellie (Roy) Matthews, Shirley (Tom) Rogers, and Julie Ard; brother, Oneal Ard; and special grandchildren, Jenny, Eddie, Faith, C. J., Stormie, Ethan, and Gage.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Robin, Barry, Pastor Stan, and Bobbie of Carolinas Hospice; we couldn't have made it through this without you.
Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00PM – 8:00PM Monday, July 2, 2012.
