Anna moved north to Franklin County, Pennsylvania with her family in 1825. According to The History of Grindstone Hill Evangelical Lutheran Church, on Saturday the 17th May, 1834, the Rev. Hoffman added a large class of catechumens to the church by confirmation, among them was Anna Fox.
Anna married George Colby in Franklin County in 1837. They had twelve children: Melinda, Catherine, Theodore F., George Burns, Anna Amelia, Mary Ellen, Sarah Rebecca, Margaret W., Susan Virginia, Charlotte Elizabeth, Charles Stewart and Harry Edwin Colby.
Anna died October 10, 1897 in Fayetteville, and was laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery.
