OBITUARY - Asheville Citzen-Times (Asheville, North Carolina) - Wed, Oct 29, 1975 - Page 2 - Mrs. Callie Rogers Kirkpatrick, 84, of Rutherford Road, Candler, died Tuesday in an Asheville hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Haywood County and an Asheville resident for 48 years she was a daughter of the late William and Easter Matthews Rogers and the widow of Milas O. Kirkpatrick, who died in 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter M. Ward Sr., and Mrs. Ila K. Clement of Asheville; a son, Milas O. Kirkpatrick Jr of Asheville; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fines Creek United Methodist Church in Haywood County, of which she was member. The Revs. J.F. Broyles Jr., Ray Billings and Harold Clement will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home, Canton, where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes before the services.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Walter Ward Sr., 52 Tipperary Drive, Mount Carmel Acres.
