On the 1880 Cedar Run District, Fauquier, Virginia census, I found farmer William Colvin, 68; other Colvins: sons: Thos B, 23; Eddie V, 21; Frank B, 24; wife Lea M, 62 and son Littell C, 19, all Virginia born, as were all of their parents.
AC and S&FR shared "William Colvin, son of Richard Colvin [Sr.] b. 9 July 1812 d. 20 July 1888. m. "Leah" Marie F. Wilkins b. 8 December 1819 d. 28 April 1885)[daughter of Thomas Wilkins and Polly Weeks]." Seek documentation.
He was not located on the 1888 Fauquier Co., Virginia Death Register (his wife was on the register in 1885). Did he die somewhere else? 1886 to 1890 Obit in Virginia was not located with my sources.
His day of death is hard to read in the 29 Jun 2012 photo. The 0 is clear but the 2 or 3 in front of it is not.
