Edna Eva Blythe Clark

Edna Blythe Clark, 95, of Quitman passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005 after suffering a stroke.
She was born in Greenbrier on January 21, 1910 and except for a brief time spent near her daughter she lived all her life in Faulkner County.
She was the daughter of the late Matthew Thomas and Hester Glover Blythe of the Centerville Community. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth H. Clark, a great grandson, Matthew Clark and six siblings.
She is survived by a son, Max Clark of Sherwood, a daughter, Rita Swaffar and her husband, B. J. Swaffar of Quitman, a daughter Delores Clark of Scott, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Stella Halsey of Conway, two sisters-in-law Kathlene Blythe of Gurdon, and Mary Jim Blythe of Georgia and fifteen nieces and nephews.
She was retired from the Conway Human Development Center, was a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church where she was pianist until the age of 93. She was an ardent Arkansas Razorback fan. She lived an independent and active live participating in civic and family events, until a stroke felled her when she was 94.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Pines Baptist Church in Quitman with Rev. Denver Gillespie officiating. Interment will be at the Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, (501) 679-2575.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Ron M. Clark, Kenneth D. Clark, Jody Swaffar, Clark Davis, and her great-grandsons, Aaron Clark and Jordon Harrod.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice.
