Jerry went to be with the Lord on February 26th, 2002 after a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jerry was born on January 3, 1943 in Clinton, Oklahoma. He lived in Hammon, Oklahoma until the age of five before moving to Elk City to attend school. He graduated from Elk City High School in 1961. Jerry was self-employed his entire life.

Following graduation he worked as a paint and construction general contractor for 25 years for the Housing and Urban Development Authority of Southwestern Oklahoma. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and buying and selling real estate. Jerry built and operated the original Trigger's store. During the early '80's he relocated to Apple Valley, California where he was a successful general contractor for 12 years before retiring in Rockwall, Texas.

Jerry was married to Mary Katherine Little in 1962. His mother, Martha Adams and grandparents, W.T. and Mamie Boulware, preceded him in death.

Mary Katherine survives him as well as his son, Scott and Debbie Adams of Elk City and daughter Shelly and husband Ty of Rowlett, Texas; three grandchildren, Amber and Ryan Adams of Elk City and Blake Harless of Rowlett, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Gene Adams of Valencia, California; twin sister Sherry Nutley and Derrel of Elk City; two aunts, Jolene Jantzen and Paul of Lubbock, Texas and Belva Bailey of Rye, Colorado; two nephews; two nieces; several cousins and many special friends.

His love for life, family and friends was evident through his unconditional love and compassion for others. Jerry never met a stranger. He will be remembered as an outgoing, friendly entrepreneur who influenced many people in his lifetime. Jerry's compassion was with the elderly and children. He will be missed but will live on in our memory until we meet him again in Heaven.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Michael Fulton, Dr. Douglas Orr, Baylor University Medical Center, St. Paul's Hospice and nurse Mary Messner for providing the best of care and support to the family during such a difficult time.
