Franklin Earl Jeffries, 76 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born March 21, 1936 in Canton, OH, son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Warner) Jeffries.
Franklin married Roberta Joyce West who preceded him in death. He then married Melody Fields who also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his son, Darrell (Betty) Jeffries of LaPorte; 3 grandsons, Jeremy Jeffries, Jamie Jeffries, Ryan Jeffries; 3 great grandchildren, Veronica Jeffries, Ezekiel Cooley, Nathaniel Cooley; and 5 step children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Joyce West; his parents; 2 brothers, Robert & Kenneth; 3 sisters, Bessie Samford, Betty Levendowski, and Jessie Otter.
A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 PM -2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Door Village Cemetery.
