Jack E. Pageler, 72, Dies Sunday

Funeral services for Jack Pageler, 72, who died Sunday, Oct. 22 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. John Reid officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gerald Smith, Paul Jacob, Allen Jensen, Cecil Wintz, Everett Smith and George Mock.

Jack Edward Pageler was born July 9, 1900 to John H. and Dorth K. Johnson Pageler on the family homestead three miles north of Winnetoon. He lived there until being joined in marriage to Bertha Scheer, daughter of John and Anna Scheer, March 10, 1923. After their marriage they lived on a farm 10 miles north of Creighton until moving into Creighton in 1960. Three sons and one daughter were born to them.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Garry and Virgil of Waverly and Garland of Hanau, Germany; daughter Mrs. Kenneth (JoyLee) Mulford of Creighton; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one brother, Paul of Conoga Park, Calif. His parents, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
