Funeral services for Adolph Jacobs were conducted Sunday afternoon at St. Mark's Episcopal church with Rev. Richard Miles officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Andersen, J.A. McCarter, Edward Wulff, Harry Tyler, Franklin Tepner and Fred Wulff.
Mr. Jacobs passed away at Lundberg Memorial Hospital Friday, Sept. 4 after an illness of about a year. He was 54 years old.
Adolph Jacobs was born Nov. 26, 1898 at Creighton, a son of Oliver and Anna Jacobs. He grew to manhood in Creighton. On Sept. 28, 1935 he was united in marriage to Miss Harriet Hoferer at Wayne. They lived in Creighton about two and a half years, then went to Chicago, Ill. for a short time. In 1938 they bought a bakery in Hebon which they operated for 10 years, returning to Creighton in 1948 where they engaged in farming. They lived on a farm two miles east of town since then.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet; one sister, Helen Jacobs and one brother, Ernest E. Jacobs. His parents preceded him in death.
