Jonathan C. Baggerly, a former resident of this community, died Sunday at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Elma Ray, in Kincaid. He was born in Macoupin County, on April 23, 1860, the son of Isaac and Rhoda Baggerly, being 84 years, 8 months and 21 days of age at the time of his death.
Surviving are a son, Isaac Baggerly, of Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Lou Richardson, of Waverly; and a brother, James Baggerly, of Pittsburg, Kansas. He also leaves several grandchildren.
The remains were brought to the Fairbanks Home for Funerals at Waverly, where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. O. F. Schreiner, of Dawson, officiating.
Burial was in East Cemetery.
