WALLER, ETHEL BERNARD

A retired employee of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, she died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at Capitol Nursing Home. She was 81, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Thibodaux. Visiting at Prayer Garden Church, 8930 Plank Road, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at the church at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Curtis Young. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Margie B. and Leroy Fleming and Florence Koon Williams, all of Baton Rouge, and Rosemary B. and Brian J. Ward, Harvey; two brothers, Walter W. Bernard, Greensboro, N.C., and the Rev. Elton D. Bernard, Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Edgar S. Waller; parents, Walter J. and Lillian George Bernard; and two brothers, Morris Osbarne Bernard and Lester Jay Bernard. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Baton Rouge and Central Chapter No. 230 of Order of the Eastern Star. Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
