Gravity Burial for Faye Adams

Funeral services for Mrs Levi Wiley (Faye) Adams, 90, of Gravity, were held March 17 at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev Dwayne Madsen officiating. Mrs Adams died March 15 in Rosary Hospital, Corning. Interment was at Washington Cemetery, Gravity.

Mrs Adams, daughter of Charles and Louisa Aid Perry, was born in Taylor County Sept 8, 1885. She lived in Taylor County and was raised in the Gravity-New Market vicinity where she attended the public school and Methodist Church.

On Feb 13,1904, she was united in marriage to Levi Wiley Adams at Bedford and they lived near Gravity in Taylor County on a farm until their retirement when they moved to Gravity in 1957.

To this union three children were born, Eva, Mary and Dale. She and her husband had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Survivors include her children, Eva Coy of Bedford, Mary Higgins of Gravity with whom she had made her home since the death of her husband in 1964, and Dale Adams of Corning, Ia; one brother, Clair V Perry of Clarinda; nine grandchildren; 37 great - grandchildren; 17 great -great - grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge of Bedford, Past Noble Grands club and Wild Rose club of Gravity.

Mrs Adams was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Florence McCaffery and Juanita Benson and one brother, Lorel.
