JANE G. CLANCY, 54
WAKEFIELD - Jane G. Clancy of Strathmore Road died Sunday, September 10 at
her home after a long illness. Born in Stoneham on August 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late
Edward J. and Cathleen (Loughlin) Gorrie.
A graduate of the Nazareth Academy with the class of 1935, she received
her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Tufts University.
Mrs. Clancy was a school teacher for the Town of Reading for many years,
at the Pearl Street School and at the time of her death taught social
studies in the Parker Middle School.
She is survived by her husband, William J. Clancy, a brother, Edward J.
Gorrie, Jr. of Emmaus, PA and her nieces and nephews, Edward J. Gorrie III
of Cleveland, OH, M. Kathleen Gorrie, Elizabeth A. Gorrie, Ellen R. Gorrie
and James M. Gorrie all of Emmaus, PA.
The funeral will be from the Butler Funeral Home, 50 Albion Street,
Wakefield on Wednesday morning, September 13 at 9 a.m. followed by a
Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in the family lot of the Forest Glade Cemetery.
Calling hours are at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Arrangements are in the care of the Butler funeral Service.
