Mrs. Corene Smith Cupit, 88 died Decembert 12 1987 at King's Daughter
s Hospital in Brookhaven. Services were Sunday morning at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in Damascus Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, John Cupit, Jr. of Port Gibson, Wallace Cupit, James Cupit amd Charles Cupit all of Brookhaven; daughters, Mrs. Mamie Jackson and Mrs. Sarah Musick, both of Brookhaven, Mrs. Catherine Sanders of Vicksburg and Lola Walters of Natchez; sisters, Mrs. Golda Mae Burris of McCall Creek and Mrs. Jessie Marie Nettles of Brookhaven; brother. Bob Smith of Vicksburg; and numberous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ministers officating Sunday were the Rev. Charles Abbey and L.B. Robinson. Mrs. Cupit was a Methodist.
Pallbearrs included Willard Mohan, James Bessonette, Andrew Jackson, Jimmy Florence, Shawn Spence and Dale Beinheaur.
Arrangements were handled by Brookhaven Funeral Home.
