GOTHAM--Stephen W. Knight, age 90 of Gotham died on Monday, October 24, 1977 after a brief illness at a Janesville Hospital. Mr. Knight was born on August 14, 1887 in Iowa County. He married the former Vern Sazel (ed.--Fazel) who preceded him in death on November 20, 1954. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bert (Frieda) Grell, Gotham, Mrs. Lee (Doris) Cartmill, Janesville; two brothers, Harold, Gotham, Donald, Richland Center; six grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Pratt Memorial Chapel, Richland Center at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, with the Reverend Lee Meissner officiating. Burial will (Ed.--be) in the Button cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Chapel from 3-9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26.
