GOTHAM--Freda M. Grell, age 86, of Gotham died early on Monday, May 8, 2000, at Richland Hospital. Fred was born on March 23, 1914 in Buena Vista Township, Richland County, the daughter of Stephen and Verna (Fazel) Knight. She was united in marriage to Albert A. Grell on February 3, 1934, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1979. Freda was a member of Gotham United Methodist Church, were she was very active member for many years. She also like to play cards. She is survived by a son, (ed.-living); four grandchildren, (ed.--living); seven great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Lee Cartmill, of Janesville; daughter-in-law, (ed.-living); and two sisters-in-law, (ed.--living). She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and William Grell; grandson, William Grell; and great-grandson, Nathan Veilhuberl. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Pratt Memorial Chapel, Richland Center, with Pastor Keith Aurand officiating and burial in Button Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 9, 2000, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Pratt Memorial Chapel, or on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pratt Funeral Service is assisting the family.
