The census shows they had been married six years and that it was the second marriage for both of them. Living with them was their son, Charley, age 4, born in Missouri; and Sarah's son, Grover Floyd, age 13, born in Missouri.
Marion died May 7, 1924 in Grayson County, Texas at age 70 and was buried in an an unmarked grave in Oakwood Cemetery in Denison, Texas (Grayson CounApr. 3, 1929 ty). Marion's second wife, Sarah Catherine Barkley, died at age 58 on April 3, 1929 in Grayson County, Texas and was buried in an unmarked grave beside her husband.
