Loving Mother and Friend Born: Anna was born 88 years ago to the late Stanley and Cathleen Wojcicki in Great Meadows, New Jersey. Personal: Her husband of 56 years, Alexander, passed away in 1998. She was a resident of Morris Plains since 1950. Her career included working during World War II at Picatinney Arsenal in Quality Control from 1939 to 1944. Anna worked for Bell Telephone Company both in Madison and Morristown as a switchboard operator. She was the Candy girl at Woolworth s, Morristown, for 15 years, where she handled the candy department and hand decorated the Easter chocolates and confections for both the Morristown and Manhattan stores. She also worked mail order at Needle Craft in Morris Plains. She was a cashier at Exxon Research and Engineering Company before retiring from Knoll Pharmaceutical (BASF), Whippany, where she was an inspector, in 1985. Anna enjoyed baking and gardening. She was a cake decorator at the Liberty Bakery in Bernardsville which she and her late husband, Alexander, owned. Nothing pleased her more than being with family and friends. Memberships: She was a parishioner of St. Virgil s Church for over 61 years, a member of the Morris Plains Senior Citizens, Morris Plains Republican Club and a former volunteer at the recycling center. She belonged to the VFW Auxiliary No. 3401, The Polish-American Club of Whippany, and Prime Time of St. Virgil s. Survivors: She is survived by an only daughter, Alexis Misich Ko, two grandchildren, Alissa Anne and Brian Alexander, and a son-in-law, Paul J. Ko, all of Randolph. Anna will be missed by her loving sister, Stella Wojcik, and niece, Lu Ann, and 12 nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers John, Steven, Joseph and George. Services: Hours of visitation on Friday August 12, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Virgil s Roman Catholic Church, Morris Plains, NJ on Saturday August 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. Internment will be at Pequest Cemetery in Great Meadows. Funeral arrangements are by Doyle Funeral Home, Morristown.
