An honorable man, Joseph Stanley Wojcicki, passed away the evening of December 31, 2010, at his home in Great Meadows. Joseph was surrounded for days with prayer and care by his beloved family, relatives, friends, and neighbors with the attentive support of nurses and caregivers from Compassionate Care Hospice. Personal: Home was everything to Joseph. He loved the land. He was a dedicated and hard working vegetable farmer, a bulldozer excavator responsible for numerous projects both local and distant, plus a trusted road foreman of Liberty Township for twenty-two years. A strong man of God's earth, Joe loved to work in the garden, on his land, and about his home. Memberships: For ninety-one years, he was a renown member of Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, and was thought to be the last remaining member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors: Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Agnes; three daughters, Sister Mary Theresa, SCC, Christine Thompson with her husband Brian and son Zachary, and Maggie Wojcicki and her husband Paul Spitz; a son Mark and his wife Cheryl, with Mark's son Adam, daughter-in-law Erin, their children Emily and Aidan, Mark's son and daughter Randy and Stefanie, and Cheryl's daughters Felicia and Cassandra; two sisters, Stella Wojcik of Great Meadows, and Anna Misich of Morris Plains; in-laws; nieces; nephews; and many friends. Services: Wake services will be at Cochran Funeral Home, Hackettstown, on Tuesday, January 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Great Meadows on Wednesday, January 5, at 11 a.m. with burial in Pequest Cemetery. Memorials: Donations may be made to Sisters of Christian Charity, Mendham, NJ, and Compassionate Care Hospice.
