"NEW LISBON - Mrs. Amy F. Wright passed away at her home at New Lisbon, Wednesday afternoon, May 2nd from heart trouble. While she had been in failing health for nearly twelve years yet she was able to be around and do light work. Her final illness was but of four weeks duration. Amy Florence Hollister was born August 2, 1855, in the town of Butternuts a daughter of Edwin and Sarah (Johnson) Hollister. On Sept. 16, 1875, she married Edgar Wright of Morris. To them were born seven children, six who are now living. The family have been residents of New Lisbon for about forty-five years. Mr. Wright died Nov. 15, 1910 ... Surviving her are five sons, Hiram Wright of Oneonta; Frank Wright of Westford; Harold Wright of Morris; Gad Wright of New Berlin and Harry Wright of West Oneonta, and one daughter, Rose who has always lived at home and cared for her mother through all her decline in health and it is to her, that her demise falls most heavily. Another daughter, Mrs. Addie Wait died Nov. 23, 1918. She also leaves a niece, Mrs. Floyd Salisbury of Garrattsville, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grand children. The funeral which was largely attended was held from the Baptist church at Morris, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with a prayer for the family at the house at 12:45 ... Interment was in the family plot in Hillington Cemetery and the bearers were: Warren Kinney, Onel Steadmen, Earl Gage and Hobart Benjamin."
