Westly N. Stockman, 68, of 383 Serns Rd., Milton, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 1990 at Mercy Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1922 in Milton, the son of Robert West and Anna Nelson Stockman. He lived here all of his life and had graduated from Milton Union High School in 1940. Mr. Stockman served in the U.S. Marines during World War II in Company A Tank, 6th Marine Division. He married Jean Trescher on June 8, 1946. Mr. Stockman was a commercial artist and owned and operated S & S Signs in Janesville for 34 years.

Mr. Stockman was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, a former American Legion member and a member of Janesville Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife, Jean of Milton; two sons, Gary (Kathy) Stockman of Milton, and Ronald (Terri) Stockman of Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, Calif.; three daughters, Nancy (Mike) Mair of Platteville, and Sandy and Cindy Stockman, both of Milton; two sisters, Beulah Rudisell and Christine Lewis, both of Milton; one sister-in-law, Thelma Stockman of Madison; and six grandchildren: Eric and Kristen Stockman, B.J. and Tracy Mair, and Scott and Andrew Westly Stockman.

Funeral services are Thursday, Sept. 6 at Faith United Methodist Church, 44 Second St., Milton. Burial will be in Milton Junction Cemetery.
