Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Christ The King Mausoleum in Simmesport. Arrangements are held under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.
Adolph Dupont, Jr., age 86 of Cottonport, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at Grace Home. He was a member of the Operator's Engineer Union #406 of Baton Rouge, Avoyelles Cattlemen's Assoc. and WWII Navy Veteran/American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adolph Dupont, Sr.; mother, Marle Grimes; son, Roger Dupont; and step-son, Franklin Rabalais of Shreveport.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Dupont of Cottonport; son, Gerald Dupont of New Ulm, Texas; two daughters, Wanda Moreau of DeQuincy and Gloria Altoonian of Fairplay, Colorado; step-daughters, Joan Price of Houma and Geralyn Moreau of Simmesport; step-son, Steven Rabalais of Mansura; nine step-grandchildren; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m
