GATESWOOD NEWS NOTES (Excerpt from the column)
The angel of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Dunbar last Saturday night at nine o'clock and claimed their dear little four year old son. He was a bright, sweet child and was loved by all who knew him. He had been sick several weeks, but his parents didn't realize he was so near the valley of death, when the angel came and bore him away. His death was a shock to the whole community. Interment took place in the Hollinger cemetery, services being conducted by Shiver, of Muscogee, Fla.
Published Thursday, September 23, 920, Baldwin Times, Bay Minette, Alabama

(NOTE: Although the writer of the above column does not mention the child's name, we know from the family bible that this is their youngest son, Purley Alford Dunbar.
