HINCKLEY - M. Viola ("Vi") Palmer, 64, died Sunday, April 4, 1993 at her Hinckley home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Madison, ME, daughter of Joseph and Pauline (Allain) Comeau. She graduated in 1946 from Madison High School.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, crocheting and other crafts. An avid outdoor person, she enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, along with her husband of over 40 years, Walter. She was a life member of the National Rifle Association.
As motorcycle enthusiasts, Walt and Vi toured the United States from coast to coast and visited the Florida Keys many times.
Surviving are her husband of Hinckley; nine daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Bonnie) Salsbury of Canaan, Miss Lynette Palmer of Oberlin, OH, Mrs. James (Doreen) Rivers of Skowhegan, Mrs. Bruce (Francine) York of Smithfield, Mrs. Darryl (Joanne) Littlefield, of Albion, Mrs. Michael (Wendy) Lloyd, currently in Yokota, Japan, Mrs. Stephen (Maria) Tompkins of Wasilla, AK, Miss Kathy Palmer of Pittsfield and Mrs. Scott (Mary) Getchell of Fairfield; four sons, Ellsworth of Clinton, David, Glenn and Stuart, all of Hinckley.
Other survivors include her mother, of Madison; three brothers, Alyre and Theodore Comeau, both of Madison, and Daniel Comeau of Anson; six sisters, Mrs. Lorenza Boone of Norridgewock, Mrs. Frank (Pauline) Dore of Skowhegan, Mrs. Joanne Kennedy, Mrs. Yvonne Lessard, Mrs. Alice Breingan and Mrs. Donna Bouchard, all of Madison; 18 grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Another sister, Mrs. Alma Bagley of Madison, died previously.
There will be no funeral service.
A graveside service was held at the Fogg/Schoolhouse
Cemetery in Cornville on May 15, 1993
Arrangements were under the directions of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield.
