TIMMONSVILLE (Special) – Ethan Allen Baker, 67, died Thursday night at his residence in Timmonsville after a long illness.
He was born in Lee County, a son of the late Sanford Aaron and Hattie Skinner Baker. He was a member of the Timmonsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, the former Frances Culpepper Howell; four daughters, Mrs. Charles O. Green of Florence, Mrs. U.S. June, Jr. of Sumter, Mrs. Bonnie Mae Hollman and Mrs. Frances Hicks of Timmonsville; one brother, T.P. Baker of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Warr of Florence; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday from Layton Perry Funeral Home in Timmonsville by the Rev. J. Kirk Lawton, assisted by the Rev. Thomas T. Faucett.
Interment will be in the Mt. Elon Cemetery at Lydia.
