VISTA - Albert Frank DeRoo, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006.
Born Dec. 5, 1916, in Denderodam, Belgium, he lived in Vista for 28 years. He retired in 1977 as the owner of a cocktail lounge in Burbank for 30 years.
He was a member and past exalted ruler of the Burbank Elk's Lodge. He was a member of the Vista Elk's Lodge.
Mr. DeRoo was preceded in death by his son, John Albert DeRoo, Jan. 6, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta DeRoo of Vista; daughters Cathy Younger of Los Angeles, Carolyn Wagman of Northridge and Barbara Duncan of Nacogdoches, Texas; sister Isabelle Lagreca of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills.
Allen Bros. Mortuary, Vista Chapel, is handling arrangements.
