In 1932 the family purchased the BX Ranch, this move involved a well remembered 3 day cattle drive, horse trailing and introcucation to the Vernon area. Farming, cowboying and family filled his life for the next 73 years on several BX area farms. He was happiest growing vegetables, fruit, hay, cattle and always needed a favorite horse to ride. A special thank to Dr. William Cawkell, the Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House and staff. A funeral service was held from the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2005 with burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Mr. Brian Jackson officiating.
