Scotia, Neb., June 24 -- Robert Barton, aged 24, committed suicide early Sunday morning at the home of Harry Wegner, eight miles east of here, by shooting himself with a shotgun. Young Burton's wife had made application for divorce and it seems he went out to the Wegner place to try to effect a reconciliation and, being unsuccessful, carried out his threat to end it all. Sheriff Gallagher was notified and took charge of the body. Burton leaves a wife and a child one year old.
