(March 19, 1965 - June 11, 2012)

Lisa Moore People, 47 was born March 19, 1965 to the late Ola Mae and Harvie Moore in Pascagoula, MS. She peacefully departed this life the morning of June 11, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Lisa united with St. Peter Baptist Church at a very early age and served diligently in many capacities. A 1983 distinction graduate of Moss Point High School, Lisa endeavored to serve others thorough many volunteer efforts. While serving in the United States Army Reserve, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Arts degree in Business Management from Webster University. She was honorably discharged from military service as Captain. Lisa was an active member the Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She was a dedicated employee with Coventry Health Care prior to her illness. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Marietta, GA.

Lisa married the love of her life, Gary L. Peoples in August 1990. To this union was born one son, Garrius Peoples. She loved and cherished them both dearly.

Lisa was preceded in death her parents, Ola Mae and Harvie Moore; one brother, Larry D. Jobe. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted friend and husband: Gary Peoples, Powder Springs, GA; one son, Garrius Peoples, Powder Springs, GA; one Goddaughter: Maya Manning, Mobile, AL; mother-in-law: Lillie Barnes, Pascagoula, MS; four sisters, Heggie (Yinka) Oredein, Reform, MS, Dyann (Lloyd, Sr.) Sabino and Mary (Jimmy) Manning, Moss Point, MS; Karen (Michael, Sr.) Armstrong, Ocean Springs, MS; two brothers: Harvie (Mary) Moore, Jr., Ackerman, MS; Michael (Charlotte) Moore, Clinton, MD; brothers in law: David (Valarie) Wright, Moss Point, MS; Monique' Peoples, Jacksonville, FL; Daryl Peoples, Moss Point, MS; Derrick (Angela) Peoples, Atlanta, GA; sisters in law, Tracey Wright, Moss Point, MS; Karen (Charles) Cannon, Opelika, AL; Debra Pollack, Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Peter Baptist Church, 1320 South Market Street, Pascagoula, MS.

Viewing will begin two hours prior to the service at the church.

Repast will be held at Union Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1509 Dupont Street, Pascagoula, MS.

Interment will be in Gabriel Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.
