MORRISDALE - Robert S. Hurley, 78, of Graham Township, Morrisdale R.D., died Saturday, Oct. 11, at 12:20 a.m. at his home.
Born Dec. 9, 1901, in Girard Township, he was the son of William and Fannie (Stewart) Hurley.
He was married to Bernice Hubler, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
He is survived by two sons, Richard of Morrisdale R.D. and William of Philipsburg; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Patrick of Clearfield and John of Media and one sister, Mrs. Mary Maguire of Morrisdale R.D.
He was a former supervisor of Graham Township, a member of the Centre Hill Grange and a life member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Association. He was a farmer and a lumberman.
Services will be held tomorrow at p.m. at Palestine United Methodist Church, Morrisdale R.D. The Rev. Rickey L. Eminhizer will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church one hour before services. The Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Morrisdale, is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Palestine United Methodist Church.
