Joseph Donovan,88, husband of the late Florence Trecartin Donovan, died Saturday night Sept. 13, 1975 at Yale new haven Hospital. He resided at 40 Pierpont St.
Mr. Donovan was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Jan 13, 1887. He was employed as a locksmith and electrician at the Taft Hotel in new haven for more than 35 years. During World war 1 he was an inspector with the Marlin Firearms Co. and prior to his retirement he was associated with the hospital of St. Raphael. Mr. Donovan was a member of the Atwater Senior Citizens Center.
He leaves two sons, Joseph E. Donovan, Walter L. Patterson, both of New haven, and three daughters Mrs. Domenic (Dorothy)Fucci of Hamden, Mrs. Joseph (Lorraine)Vercellone of New Haven, and Mrs Charles (Flo)Jefferson of West Haven also 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, 493 Whitney Ave. Tuesday morning at 10 with the Rev. Arthur Yost pastor of the East pearl Street Methodist Church officiating Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
