Early Life: She loved her childhood in Southeastern Utah with her parents and, after the untimely death of her mother, her second mother, Etta Bass Barton.

Life's Work/Service/Interests: Clara studied nursing after graduating from high school. In 1941, she married L. Arden Johnson, a rancher and farmer from Moab, Utah. They spent the war years in California where Arden built military planes for Douglas Aircraft. After the war, the couple returned to Moab to rear their family. In 1971, they moved to Orem, acclimating to and appreciating the good saints of the Sharon Park 2nd Ward. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary before Arden died in 2010. Clara has a posterity of 6 children, 41 grandchildren and 111 great-grandchildren. Clara Alice Barton Johnson died peacefully at home August 6, 2013 of causes incident to age. She was 91 years of age.
Religion/Associations: Clara often shared her love of the Savior and the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Relief Society and Young Women organizations. In 1975, they moved to Nauvoo, Illinois while husband, Arden worked as a builder in the restoration projects of the old pioneer city.
Survived By: Her children: Jay (Brenda) Johnson of Ammon ID; Colleen (Ron) Smith of Orem, UT; Carolyn (Jack) Lund of Richfield, UT; and Janice Tuttle (Rick) of Orem, UT; brother-in-law, Buckley Christensen of Monticello, UT; brothers: Bruce (Bonnie) Barton of Atascadera, CA; Grant (Jeanne) Barton of Oceanside, CA; sisters: Marietta Kirby of West Valley, UT; and Dixie (John) Davis of West Valley, UT.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, parents, son, Larry (Trudy) Johnson; daughter, Klyda (Jon) Anderson; son-in-law, David (Janice) Turner; and two great grandchildren.
