Bobby Francis Aucutt
Bobby Francis Aucutt, age 74, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening (September 13, 2001) at the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina.
Born October 20, 1926 in Knox County, Missouri he was a son of Thomas Mitchell and Blanche Jane Henry Aucutt.
On November 6, 1947 in Canton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Marjorie A. Karhoff.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie of Edina; two sons, Michael Aucutt and wife, Diane of Pacific, Missouri and Dennis Aucutt and wife, Trisha of Daytona Beach, Florida; one daughter, Pamela Seppelt and husband, Mark of Chatham, Illinois; four brothers, Thomas Junior Aucutt of California, Clendis Henry Aucutt and wife, Susan of California and Stanley Aucutt and wife, Bernie of Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Aucutt of Edina and Sadie Aucutt of Illinois; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister in infancy.
Mr. Aucutt was raised in the Locust Hill community in Knox County and graduated from the Edina High School. He served during World War II in the United States Navy from October 4, 1944 through July 18, 1946 in the South Pacific Theater of operations.
Mr. Aucutt was employed as a meat cutter for Mackie Williams Grocery Store in Edina and for over twenty years as a salesman for Moormans Manufacturing. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and was also a past alderman for the City of Edina. Mr. Aucutt enjoyed bowling and spending time with his many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday (September 15, 2001) at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, Missouri. The services will be conducted by Reverend Ken Berry.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery at Edina, Missouri. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Cyril A. Graham American Legion Post #261 of Edina and the Knox County V. F. W. Memorial Post #4822.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday (September 14, 2001). Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, Edina, Missouri.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Mr. Aucutt may be made to the Knox County Nursing Home. The memorials may be left at or mailed to the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1, Edina, Missouri 63537.
