Robert Richmond was born at Durham, Ontario, Canada, June 22, 1851, and passed away in Whitefish January 2, 1934, at the age of 82 years. He grew to manhood in Ontario and was there married to Miss Mary Fernell. In 1883 they moved to North Dakota where their active years were spent. Mr. Richmond came to Whitefish six years ago to be near his children, his wife having passed on. He is survived by three children, Mrs. A.L. (Jessie) Smith of Whitefish, Fred Richmond of Whitefish and Mrs. Lizzie Donaldson of Gillespie, Illinois, three sisters and a brother in Winnipeg, Canada; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
