DEAD.--It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of our former townsman, Geo. Derrick, at his residence in New Bloomfield, last Thursday night.--Mr. D. for a long time resided in the house now occupied by John Jones, Esq., on Fourth street, but for several years past has been keeping the Eagle hotel in Bloomfield. His disease was consumption, of which he suffered for a long time. He bore his affliction with Christian fortitude, and passed away with the blessed assurance that he was going to a brighter and happier home. His body was interred at this place on Thursday.
