William was the son of William L and Esther Winifred Haines Cooley.

Funeral Services for William Russell Cooley, son of William L. and Esther Haines Cooley of Old Wynn, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wagner Cooley Funeral Home, Fairchance.

Rev. W. Stafford Scott will officiate at the service and burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

The body of the 13 year old boy who drowned in the Wynn Reservoir Wednesday afternoon, was recovered late yesterday morning by Fairchance fireman. His body was recovered from some 40 feet of water after about 2 1/2 hours of dragging operations. Attempts to recover the body Wednesday night were unsuccessful. Fairchance, Hopwood, and Bullskin Twp., fireman aided in the Wednesday operation and several SCUBA divers were at the scene. The body was discovered in almost the same place where the youth drowned, approximately 15 feet from the shore.

In addition to his parents, the victim is survived by two brothers, John L. and Dennis, and a sister, Alice Louise, all at home. Other survivors include his paternal grandmother, Helen Cooley of Fairchance, and his maternal grandfather, Edward Haines of Fairchance.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
