Mr. Belter had made his hone with his daughter, Mrs, Jim Williams, west of Cheyenne for several years and had made many friendships in and around Cheyenne.
Past 81 years of age, Mr. Belter had been bedfast since Thanksgiving but during his illness he never conplained of his sufferings.
He was converted and united with the Lutheran Church when he was a small boy.
His wife and four children preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, eight children who are; Mrs. Mary Schilberg of Bessie, Okla; Martin Belter, Portland, Oregon; Mrs, J. H, Williams, Cheyenne, Mrs, M J Reinschmidt, Bessie Okla., G H Belter, Cherokee, Okla. Mrs. E L Payne, Vaughn New Mexico, Mrs. L A Roark, Cheyenne, John Belter, Jr.,Mountain View, Oklahoma.
He also leaves three sisters, two brothers, 39 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Belter departed this life on January 13, 1935 at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 7 days. He was buried at Bessie, Oklahoma where other members of the family are buried.
