Born June 20, 1888 at Laurel, a son of John and Rosann Abercrombie Jinks, Mr Jinks came to Connersville 34 years ago from Rushville. He had been employed as a guard at Porcelain Steel until his retirement and had attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jennie Swanigan, who he married May 18, 1911; three sons, John C Jins, of Huntington WV, and Donald and Ronald Jinks, both of Connersville; two daughters, Mrs Robert (Bernice) Randall of Hubbard, OH and Mrs Loren (Rosann) Sturgeon of Connersville; one brother, John Jinks of Laurel; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at Myers Funeral Home, with Rev A V Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm Monday,
