Clarence Cecil Hawks died Saturday morning November 11, 1995 in Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hawks was born in Conway, Missouri to John Martin and Sarah (Essary) Hawks. He grew up and attended school in Missouri. As a young man he began working in an upholstery shop in Springfield, Missouri. He later moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma were he worked in a upholstery shop until moving to Coffeyville, Kansas, in the early 1950's working for Neil Todd Upholstery for a couple of years before opening Hawks Upholstery.

On November 5, 1954, he married Wauneta Smith in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville and Mr. Hawks continued to operate Hawks Upholstery until his retirement in November of 1994. Mr. Hawks enjoyed working in the yard and gardening.

Survivors include his wife Wauneta Hawks of the home; two sisters, Martha Seaton of Iola, Kansas and Inez Justus of Springfield, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by four sisters Stella Jane Gray, Annabell Bridgeford, Della Eden and Gladys Winkler and one brother James Hawks.
