Leo Ralph Mudd, 91, son of Basil and Lula Bell Mann Mudd, was born Aug. 31, 1900, at St. Charles. He died Aug. 20. 1992, at Harry Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia Mr. Mudd served in the military during World War enlisting at Sidney, Neb. He was honorably discharged in October 1919 as a private first class. He married Helen McKenzie, March 3, 1923. They had three children and lived in the Eunice community many years where he worked in construction. In 1970, they moved to Houston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, July 22, 1991; an infant twin son, Omer Carl; one sister, Imogene Bash; and three brothers, Natie Mudd, Glennon Mudd and Francis Mudd. Surviving are one daughter, Leota Boyd of Eunice; one twin son. Homer Mudd of Ramona, one brother, Joseph Mudd of Fort Worth. Texas; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 22 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Father Francis Brennan and Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Eunice.
