Helen E. Mudd, daughter of Columbus C. and Ivy Pearl McKenzie, was born Nov. 25, 1905 at Harrisburg. She died July 22, 1991, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She married Leo R. Mudd March 3, 1923. They lived in the Eunice community from 1945 until moving to Houston in 1970. She was a member of the Eunice Baptist Church. Mrs. Mudd was preceded in death by a brother and an infant son. Surviving are her husband, Leo, of the home in Houston; one daughter Leota Boyd of Eunice; one son Home Claude Mudd of Ramona, Calif.; one sister, Marjorie Starkey of Lancaster, Ohio; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services were July 25 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery.
