Ruth Frieda Bredthauer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bredthauer was born at Scotia, Neb., Nov. 4, 1906, and died at 11 p.m., July 15, 1917, of acute appendicitis, after an illness of three days. The sudden illness and death of this bright little girl came as a terrible shock to her relatives, and coming as it did just six weeks after the death of her mother, has caused much sorrow to the father, brothers and sisters. Always pleasant and friendly, Ruth was the love of all who knew her, and many besides the family are sad over her death.

The funeral was held at the Lutheran church, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hellwege, of Mira Valley, and Rev. Hoffman, of Ashton, and was attended by many friends and relatives of the family. The sympathy of all is extended to the sorrowing ones.
