Helen M. Brighton, 84 of Champaign, passed away 1:18 A.M. June 2, 2012 at her family home in Champaign.

She was born December 23, 1927 in DeLand, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Boyd Mix. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She married Arthur Brighton April 19, 1959 in Bloomington. He survives.

Survivors also include her son, Bryan (Dianne) Brighton, Ann Arbor, Michigan; daughter, Bonnie (Matt) Black, Champaign; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
