VETERAN PASTOR DIES
The Rev. Thomas W. Lewis Succumbs At Houston, Miss.
The Rev. Thomas Wiley Lewis, 79, a Methodist minister for 60 years, died here Saturday of pneumonia. At the time of his death, he was pastor of the Calhoun City Methodist Church. Houston was his birthplace. He had held many pastorates, including four in Memphis, one at Jackson, Tenn., and another at Paducah. KY. He had served at Greenwood, Carrollton, Grenada, Corinth and Tupelo, Miss. Survivors include the widow, a son. T. W. Lewis of Columbus, Miss., and two brothers, the Rev. R. E. Lewis of Durant, Miss., and Dixie Lewis of Chattanooga. Funeral services will be held 11 a m. Sunday at Calhoun City. Burial will be in a Memphis cemetery.
