HENDERSON, ELIZABETH ESTHER (LIZZIE) - age 87, of LaFollette, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. She was a member at Midway Baptist Church. Elizabeth cared for many elderly
people at the LaFollette Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by husband, Floyd Henderson; parents, Gillis and Celia Brandenburg; infant daughter, Mary
Lou Carroll; grandson, James Daniel (Danny) Jones III; granddaughter, Kimberly Cook; brother, Charlie Brandenburg and sisters, Girlie White and Ruth Stokes.
She is survived by daughters, Juanita and husband J. D. Jones, Jr. of LaFollette, Carolyn and husband Bob Leard of Abingdon, Maryland, and Nell and husband Larry Overcash of Aiken, South Carolina; sons, Chief of Police Earl Carroll and wife Barbara Jo of LaFollette, Carl and wife Jan
Henderson of Palm Coast, Florida, and Paul Henderson of LaFollette; sisters, Azalee Helton of Clinton, Tenn., and Ruby McCullah of Baltimore, Maryland; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and a host of many loved ones that will miss her.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at
Cross Chapel, Rev. Leonard Dabney and Dr. Charles Parker officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Jacksboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral services. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
